Camille is Bobby Morse's sister who is now running the hostel in Maetaeng. She has been helping with support of the children's daily needs.
Camille has sent us an urgent email discussing the need in Maetaeng.
" As I mentioned before, I can no longer help with the additional expenses from this month on, so if there is any way you can send additional money for the Maetaeng Hostel, please do. The regular monthly expenses come close to 95,000 baht so an additional $900 to $1,000 is needed. The 70,000 that they give only covers salaries (65,000) and electricity (5,000). There will be no money for gas for the trucks to take the kids to school and back/shopping, food purchases, school lunch fees, other school fees, toiletries, clothes washing detergent, dish washing detergent and other kitchen supplies, miscellaneous repairs, farm related expenses, etc.
So as you can see this is a VERY serious shortage. It would be unethical and a shame to send the kids back home during the middle of the semester but if there aren't funds to feed them and take them to school, etc. what other option will there be? I just don't know."
